Rebekah Pedersen is a Kinesiologist new to our team. She graduated with an honours degree in Science / Kinesiology in 2000 where she began her career moving from Northern Ontario to Northern BC. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety of locations from Northern BC, BC Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. Also, in a variety of disciplines including rehabilitation, injury prevention + education, program + policy development, ergonomics + design. She worked with Interior Health Authority for 13 years on the Injury Prevention team before joining us. Rebekah believes in a whole body approach for healing using biomechanics, exercise + daily function as key pieces in treatment. She also supports an individualized practice where she feels education, awareness + internal regulation are essential in providing an environment where a person feels safe to heal + progress. Continual learning has been a hidden passion for Rebekah, one she has really embraced the past few years. Her biggest passions still remain to be time with her husband, three daughters and happy dog (named Happy) + time spent deep in the untouched outdoors, the combo of both her ultimate happy place.
