After growing up in Wales he graduated with a BSc(hons) in Physiotherapy from London, United Kingdom. After a few years working in a variety of clinical settings he attended the University of Queensland in Australia to complete a post graduate clinical Masters’ degree in Musculoskeletal Dysfunction. This postgraduate degree gave him eligibility for membership of IFOMT, the worldwide governing body for Specialists in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy.
In addition to teaching post graduate education courses, Carey has also taught and mentored undergraduate and post graduate physiotherapists in Canada, the UK and Australia.
He has worked in a variety of clinical settings including St Bartholomews’, a large London, UK, teaching hospital, the National Sports Centre’s Sports Injury Clinic, London UK and private orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy practices in the UK, Australia and Canada.
Clinically he sees exercise and movement as the key stone of all rehabilitation. He will incorporate manual therapies and needling into this active and dynamic approach.
In his limited amount of spare time he is a passionate skier and mountain biker.
